Hi everybody.

Beauty usually refers to what appeals to the eye. A nice and well built girl is regarded as beautiful. A bunch of vigorous flowers are also considered as beautiful. A splendid waterfall coming down from a mountain is as well looked on as beautiful.

Beauty also refers to what appeals to the mind. The virtue of the Chinese nation-industry and bravery are taken as beautiful, because it helped to produce such a magnificent culture in the world. Einstein"s theory of relativity is also perceived as beautiful, for it explains many natural phenomena so perfectly. Beauty is around us. If you keep an eye or pay some attention, it is never difficult to find something beautiful somewhere about you. Wonderful natural spots, historical relics,fine arts, splendid buildings, and kind people are just a few inches away.

if i had my life to live over……i would have talked less and listened more.i would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was strained andthe sofa faded. i would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather rambleabout his youth. i would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on asummer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. i would have burnedthe pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. i would havesat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains. i wouldhave cried and laughed less while watching television - and more while watchinglife. i would have gone to bed when i was sick instead of pretending the earthwould go into a holding patter if i were not there for the day. i would neverhave bought anything just because it was practical，would not show soil or wasguaranteed to last a life time. there would have been more“i love you”……more“i‘msorry”……but mostly，given another shots at life，i would seize every minute……lookat it and really see it……live it……and never give it back.

假如生活从头再来假如我能重新生活,我会说得更少，听得更多。我会邀请朋友来吃饭，即使地毯变脏,沙发褪色。我会花时间听我的祖父漫谈他的年轻时光。我再也不会坚持在某个夏天的某一天车窗一定要打开，而我的头发刚刚被喷胶并被做好。我会点燃雕得像朵玫瑰一样的粉红的蜡烛，在它被在存储中融化之前。我会与我的孩子一起坐在草坪上，不用担心草地上的污渍。我会在看电视时哭得更少,笑得更少，而更多的是观察生活。当我生病时,我会上床睡觉，而不是假装如果我不在一天,地球就会停止不动。我再也不会购买任何据说是实用的,牢固的,保证可用一生的东西。我会说更多的“我爱你.”……更多的“对不起.”……可是，我被生活再次击倒，我会抓住每一分钟……看看它,实实在在地看它……好好生活……决不让它重头再来。

尊敬的老师，亲爱的同学，大家早上好，我今天言讲的名言是“勿以善小而不为，勿以恶小而为之”大家一定听说过这句千古名句吧!那么，你是否做到这一点呢?就爱护公物而言，你做到了吗?

校园内，课桌上随处可见的涂鸦，那缺胳膊少腿的椅子，那黑乎乎的墙壁，那洗手间已成残废的门板，那破碎的洗手盆同学们，当你看到这原本精致的公物，如今却已经变成了一堆废物，你是否听到他们在哭泣，正在呼喊?更可恶的是那些破坏者，或许你们只不过是一时兴起，只为求得一丝快感，但你们的所作所为却造成了人们的不变，同时也丢掉了自己的人格与素质。人民教育家陶行知先生曾经说过要晓得一个人爱不爱国，只须看他对公有财产的态度，只须看他对于公有财产有没有不愿取之精神的确，一个连公物都不爱护的人，又怎么能爱国吧?换而言之，如果你连公物都不爱护，又如何爱学校呢?

公物是为人们服务的，所以破坏公物就等于制造麻烦，使我们的环境更糟糕，我真搞不懂那些破坏者在想什么，为什么会做这些得不偿失的行为?所以当我们看到这些破坏行为时，一定要制止并积极举发他那全集体蒙羞的行为。我们要以破坏公物耻，以爱公护物为荣。

正如我们学校正在开展八荣八耻的教育活动，让我们从我做起，从事做起，从今天做起，以珍惜爱护公物为荣，以损害公物耻，做一个有素质的中学生!

人们常说：“开卷有益，看书有益。”但 是，仔细一推敲，这种说法也不完全正确。假如我们对每一本书都感到兴趣，那“开卷有益”也就未必有益了。 现在的同学可能都喜欢看武侠、言情只类的小说、书刊，有时会达到废寝忘食、手不释卷的程度，他们一旦看迷了书，便会走火入魔，那他们上课一心只想着书，没心思学习，成绩就会一落千丈。而且有些人被书中的一些情节所吸引，模仿书中的人物，有时而且会走向犯罪的道路。这不是看书害了自己嗎?这只是“开卷未必有益”中包含的第一层：开卷不一定有益。而且有第二层。 其二就是，我们看书，要有选择。那些不健康、对我们没有多大请帮我的书，就不要看。要看书，就看一些有利于我们身心健康、对我们学习、生活中都有请帮我的书。这样的书就是好书，只有看好书，就不会毁了自己。有人把书比作了好友，看好书，就是交好好友，才会进步;则看不好的书，当然是交不好的人作好友，那样你就会退步。因为近朱者赤，近墨者黑嘛!所以，只有看好书才会对你有益。 因此，我的观点是：开卷未必有益。 我真心的希望，每位同学都能有选择的看书。而不要因为看错了一本书，将自己引入歧途，毁了自己的一生。
