活动背景：甜蜜的青春，像一首幸福的歌，歌里有美丽的旋律;花样的青春，象一幅奇幻的美图，图里有梦幻的风景。青春，蕴涵童话般的梦，成长之路也随之而开阔。逝去的时光，我们不再感叹，因为我们现在拥有的正是有着无限魅力的青春年华。为了在我们美好的年华里留下一些美好的记忆，留下我们为梦想而奋斗的身影，也为了实现我们高级班“三德五才”的人才培养目标，丰富大家第二课堂培训方式，激发学员英语学习热情，进一步提升学员应变能力和英语演讲水平，长江大学第xx届学生干部高级培训班班委会，经团委老师同意，决定在第xx届高级班全体学员中深入开展“魅力青春”英文演讲比赛。

二、活动内容

(一)演讲要求

学员以“魅力青春·成长的足迹”为话题，结合实际情况，根据本人的思考和感悟另拟题目，进行全英文的演讲，要求具体可感，观点鲜明，立意明确，能够对班级学员的英语学习和思想发展起到正面积极的引导作用。

(二)演讲形式

1、学员上台进行脱稿演讲。

2、演讲结束后由评委以英语提问，选手用英语作出回答。

3.各学员演讲时间为6分钟，回答时间为1分钟。

五、活动步骤

1.x月x日，在菁英网上公布英文演讲比赛活动方案。

2.x月x日~xx年x月5日，各位学员认真准备英文演讲稿;并展开组内选拔赛，比赛时必须邀请小组比赛监督人员及评委，小组选拔赛选出优秀的`3名学员代表小组参加班级比赛。

3.x月x日周四晚9点之前，各小组将《小组参赛学员信息表》(见附表二)以及参赛学员的英文稿件原文，发至学习委员邮箱。(学委邮箱：李坤)

4.x月x日(周五)早自习由学习委员安排抽签，决定各学员演讲顺序。

5.x月x日(周六)上午8:00~11:00开展演讲比赛

七、活动奖励办法

1.奖项设置：本次英文演讲比赛各班将终评选出一等奖、二等奖、三等奖和优秀奖各1、3、5、6名。

2.奖励办法：获奖学员将获得由校团委颁发的荣誉证书，并根据《长江大学学生干部高级培训班班级量化考核管理条例》对获奖学员予以加分。

八、活动流程

(一)前期准备

1. 学习委员进行资料汇总，列出参赛选手顺序名单，负责整体安排以及突发事件处理。

2. 班长负责与小组长联系，通知同学们提前20分钟到半小时到场;申请教室，并负责在黑板的书写;邀请评委和嘉宾，通知评委提前十分钟进场。

3. 团支书负责现场的统分工作，去掉高低分，算出平均分(准备好计算器)。

4. 文体委员负责选拔男女主持人各2名，并进行适当培训。

5.生活委员负责选拔活动礼仪4名，并准备饮用水、纸、笔、计算器等活动用品。

6.纪律委员负责协助值周班委记录到会人员，报告人员以及工作人员出勤情况，时间提示牌的制作、现场计时以及时间提示。

7. 宣传委员负责活动宣传、现场拍照和活动报道。

8.班刊主编及副主编需及时发现活动出现的漏洞并配合解决

9. 所有班委成员在活动前提前半小时进入教室，检查并布置相关设施，使各项安排就位。

(二)活动流程

1.主持人致辞，并介绍到场的嘉宾、评委;

2.主持人介绍比赛流程及比赛规则;

3.参赛学员按顺序上台进行英文演讲;

4.比赛结束，主持人做活动小结;

5.请评委代表对演讲进行点评;

6.团支书统计结果，请嘉宾揭晓获奖同学名单;

7.请班主任老师讲话;

8.主持人致活动结束语;

9.请评委与参赛同学合影留念;

10.工作人员整理相关资料，并清理活动现场。

九、活动要求

(一)整体要求

1. 各小组长召开小组会议，将参赛要求传达至每位学员，各学员根据总体策划方案要求，积极准备并参与英语演讲比赛;

2.请全体学员高度重视本次活动，提早做好演讲准备并反复演练;

3.演讲时，所有学员必须做到脱稿;

4.要求活动当天所有与会成员，男生着正装，女生穿着正式、大方得体;

5.任何人不得无故缺席，如确有要事不能按时参加活动，必须提前按要求履行请假手续。

(二)组内选拔赛要求

1.各小组严格按照提高班英语演讲比赛的整体要求，提前书写策划方案，精心组织开展本小组的选拔比赛，任何小组不得简化活动程序，降低活动标准;

2.各组选拔赛必须邀请指定嘉宾担任监督人员(见附表四)。

3.监督人员根据小组活动开展的实际情况认真填写《活动开展情况记录表》

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don‟t know who wrote these words, but I‟ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it‟s a state of mind. It‟s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It‟s the matter of the will. It‟s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being „s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what‟s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there‟s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young . A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I‟d like to share it with all of you. Let‟s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let‟s make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.

We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don‟t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we‟ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We‟ve learnt that we can‟t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn‟t mean you don‟t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn‟t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let‟s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”
